Red Hat Linux was created by Redhat software company. It was a popular Linux based operating system until its discontinuation in 2004 and later replaced by Fedora Linux. The Red Hat Linux was discontinued in favor of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Red Hat Linux 9 was the final release.

  • Red Hat Linux v1.0 was released on November 3, 1994.
  • Red Hat Linux v2.0 was released on September 20, 1995.
  • Red Hat Linux v3.0.x was released on May 1, 1996.
  • Red Hat Linux v4.0 was released on October 3, 1996.
  • Red Hat Linux v5.0 was released on December 1, 1997.
  • Red Hat Linux v6.0 was released on April 26, 1999.
  • Red Hat Linux v7 was released on September 25, 2000.
  • Red Hat Linux v8.0 was released on September 30, 2002.
  • Red Hat Linux 9.0 was released on March 31, 2003.
