The Terminal application allows Linux or UNIX users to open up a window through which they can access the command line. You will be prompted by a Linux prompt, at which you can type commands.
How do I start Terminal application?
To open a command-line terminal application select Applications > Accessories > Terminal from [[Gnome] desktop. than you can type the various UNIX or Linux commands.
